  • Estimator
  • Project Superintendent

Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is responsible for: review of architectural and engineering drawings, specifications and project document control; review and expedite shop drawings and submittals; initiate and coordinate requests for information; coordinate with estimating for review of scopes of work precedent to and including preparation of contracts and change orders. Maintain project progress and schedule by coordinating closely with site project superintendent, entire assigned site staff and Monarch's office support team. Monitor and manage subcontractors in close coordination with site superintendent to assure quality standards are met or exceeded. The Project Manager is the project team leader, and as such, chairs weekly meetings and assures that meeting minutes are kept and distributed; functions as the principal point of contact for architect, owner, subcontractors and consultants. Responsible for job cost forecasts and cost projection reports. Also assures a timely and well disciplined and documented project close-out at completion including delivery of close-out materials to owner for efficient start up and commissioning of facility.

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PM in commercial or industrial construction. Project experience on auto dealerships or self storage facilities is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word and Outlook. Knowledge of Master Builder is a plus.




Responsibilities:
The Estimator is responsible for all preconstruction activity on assigned projects. Performs quantity takeoff to validate labor, material and subcontractor pricing, reviews plan documents for potential cost saving alternates, prepares potential cost saving alternates, prepares preliminary and detailed preconstruction and construction activity schedules, etc. Prepares all scope of work descriptions to be used during subcontractor bidding, and solicits all sub and vendor bids and proposals. Works in close coordination with assigned project manager and superintendent to properly scope the project and perform buyout. Remains in contact with the project team after the project commences in the field to assist with any construction phase cost estimating that may be necessary.

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years experience as an Estimator or Sr. Estimator for a commercial general contractor, or a minimum 10 years experience with a commercial trades subcontractor. Knowledge of auto dealership and self storage construction is a plus. Must be very proficient in Microsoft Excel, and have good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Project.






Responsibilities:
The Project Lead Superintendent is assigned the overall field responsibility for assuring quality installation of the craft work. He, and any assistants reporting to him, also attend to issues such as staging and storage, deliveries, movement of labor personnel and vehicles onsite and offsite, parking and traffic control, etc. Responsible for daily and weekly planning of activities, including coordination and scheduling with subcontractors under contract to Monarch and any contractors reporting to the owner. Attends to any issues that may affect successful ongoing business in the case of an owner occupied facility, and coordinates closely with the owner to minimize disruptions. Oversees the onsite safety program, including required site safety meetings and assures adherence to it by all personnel working on the project. Participates in all planning sessions for the project and all meetings with the OAC team, as well as meeting with subcontractors as necessary to maintain the project delivery schedule.

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years as a lead project superintendent on commercial construction projects for a general contractor; 10 years preferred. Knowledge of auto dealership and self storage construction is a plus. Must be very proficient in Microsoft Project and have good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel. A willingness to accept project assignments anywhere in Southern California is absolutely necessary.
